The OSI 3.5-Ton Diesel Forklift is built to do more with less space — and for Hawaii businesses operating in tight yards, container environments, and demanding job sites, that combination matters.
Built for Tight Spaces Without Sacrificing Reach
One of the standout features of the OSI 3.5-Ton is its 4.8-meter (15.7-foot) three-stage mast. Unlike a standard two-stage mast, the three-stage design allows the mast to extend to full height while maintaining a lower collapsed profile — compact enough to maneuver inside a standard shipping container, yet capable of stacking and unloading materials at height once in position.
For operations that regularly work in and around containers, this is a practical advantage. You're not limited to staging materials outside and shuttling them in by hand. The OSI goes in with you.
7,700 Pounds of Lifting Capacity
Don't let the footprint fool you. The OSI is rated to lift up to 7,700 pounds — 3.5 tons — at its rated load center. That's enough capacity to handle the majority of commercial and industrial loads: palletized goods, lumber bundles, bagged agricultural product, equipment and machinery, and freight coming off or going into containers.
For most warehouses, construction yards, farms, and industrial facilities in Hawaii, this capacity range covers day-to-day operations without requiring a larger, more expensive machine.
Precision Built Into Every Lift
The OSI comes standard with a side shifter and fork positioner — both hydraulically controlled from the operator seat. The side shifter lets operators fine-tune load alignment left or right without repositioning the entire machine. The fork positioner adjusts the spacing between forks to match different pallet sizes on the fly. In tight spaces where repositioning costs time, these features keep cycles moving efficiently.
Mast tilt adds another layer of control — tilting back to stabilize a load during travel, and forward for clean, accurate placement. Together, these features give the operator meaningful precision at every stage of the lift cycle.
Kubota Diesel Power — Reliable, Compliant, Serviceable
The OSI runs a Kubota V2607 EPA-compliant diesel engine. Kubota diesel engines have a well-established reputation in heavy-use applications across construction, agriculture, and industrial equipment — and in Hawaii, parts availability and service knowledge are not a concern.
The engine compartment is designed for easy access, keeping routine maintenance straightforward and minimizing downtime. Sound insulation keeps noise manageable for the operator and surrounding crew, and high exhaust placement routes away from the work area.
Built for Hawaii's Operations
The OSI 3.5-Ton is a practical fit across a wide range of Hawaii work environments:
- Warehouses and distribution centers — high-cycle daily use, varied pallet sizes, full rack utilization
- Container yards and ports — outdoor, heavy-duty, continuous use on rough dock surfaces
- Construction and contractor yards — moving materials across uneven surfaces with solid rubber tires that absorb terrain and reduce operator fatigue
- Agriculture and farms — reliable diesel performance all day without charging infrastructure
- Industrial facilities — sustained shift work with operator comfort features that hold up over a full day
